WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CALL

01
You talk to me, not an intake desk

No screener, no sales script, no junior associate taking notes to relay later. You describe what happened directly to the lawyer who would handle your case.

02
I tell you where you actually stand

What you are charged with, what the State has to prove, what the realistic range of outcomes looks like, and which deadlines are already running. Straight answers, even when they are not the ones you want.

03
You decide — no pressure

If you want to hire me, we talk fees and payment plans that day. If you want to think about it or talk to another lawyer first, that is a reasonable thing to do and I will tell you so.

BEFORE YOU CALL

Have these handy if you can. If you don't, call anyway — we can work from what you remember.

  • Your bond paperwork or any documents you were given at release
  • The citation, case number, or charge listed on your paperwork
  • The county and the date of your next court setting
  • The arresting agency — city police, sheriff, DPS, or constable
  • Whether you took or refused a breath or blood test
  • Any prior arrests or convictions, including out of state

WHAT NOT TO DO

The first days after an arrest are where cases quietly get worse. Avoid these.

  • Do not discuss your case on a jail phone — those calls are recorded
  • Do not post about it, delete posts, or message anyone involved
  • Do not contact the complaining witness, even to apologize
  • Do not talk to detectives without a lawyer, however friendly the call is
  • Do not miss a court date or a bond condition, ever
  • Do not assume the first setting is a formality — it often shapes the case

QUESTIONS ABOUT REACHING ME

Is the consultation really free?+

Yes. The first conversation costs nothing and carries no obligation. You tell me what happened, I tell you what you are actually facing, what the process looks like, and what it would cost to fight it. If I am not the right lawyer for your case, I will say so.

Is what I tell you confidential, even if I don't hire you?+

Yes. Communications made while seeking legal advice are privileged, whether or not you end up retaining me. That said, do not send confidential details through a web form — call, and we will talk directly.

How fast will I hear back?+

Calls are answered around the clock, including nights and weekends, because arrests do not keep business hours. Callback requests submitted through this page usually get a response within the hour during the day.

I haven't been charged yet — should I still call?+

That is often the best time to call. If police have contacted you, a detective has left a card, or you believe an investigation is underway, getting a lawyer involved before charges are filed can sometimes stop them from being filed at all.

What if I can't afford a lawyer right now?+

Ask. I offer payment plans on most cases, and you can pay securely online through my payments page. It is worth having the conversation before you assume representation is out of reach.

Do I have to come to the Conroe office?+

Not necessarily. Much of the initial work can be handled by phone, and I travel to the courthouse where your case is pending. If an in-person meeting makes sense, my office is at 122 W. Davis Street in downtown Conroe, minutes from the Montgomery County courthouse.

THE OFFICE

My office sits on W. Davis Street in downtown Conroe, a short walk from the Montgomery County courthouse complex — which is where a large share of my cases are heard. Street parking is available along Davis and in the surrounding lots.

From the Houston side, it is roughly forty minutes up I-45. I regularly appear in Montgomery, Harris, Fort Bend, Polk, and San Jacinto counties, so if your case is pending elsewhere in the region, you do not need to travel here to hire me.
